Downloading the Kia UVO App on your Android or iOS device will connect you with your car in a way you never thought possible.

Kia UVO Security Features

The security features within the app keep you safe and your car running properly. With the 911 Connect feature, if an airbag is deployed, the UVO system automatically will try notifying 911 and send your vehicle’s location to emergency personnel. The UVO app also comes with a helpful maintenance reminder system, which reminds you of any regularly scheduled maintenance for your vehicle. Also, with the Find My Car feature, you can get directions to exactly where your car is located.

Kia UVO Navigation Features

Simply open the Kia UVO App to get you where you need to go:

• Send Destination to Car: Send the directions you found online directly to your car’s navigation system.
• UVO Voice Assist: Use the voice assistant to search through the app online for directions to get the best route to your destination.
• Connected Routing: A new feature that uses real-time traffic and route information to guide you smoothly through your drive.

UVO Driver Alerts

Everyone needs reminders now and again, so your Kia UVO App is here to keep you on track between driving and while on the road.

The Geofence Alert sets up reminders/commands when a specific place is reached using the geofence alert. Speed Alerts can set an alert according to a desired speed limit. Diagnostic Alerts provide warning lights on the dash that will also appear on your phone. The Valet Alert gives a preset limit to where your vehicle is allowed to go and alerts you when it has breached that boundary. The Low Starter Battery Alert (12V) notifies you of low battery power. The Rear Seat Occupancy Notification alerts you if there’s activity sensed in the rear seat after the doors have been locked.

For your teen driver, there is also a Curfew Alert that sets a time preference for when they need to be home.

Eco & General Features

The app also includes handy alerts and reminders to help you maintain your vehicle to keep it going as long as possible. The Vehicle Health Report provides monthly diagnostic reports of your vehicle’s health along with tips and even coupons to get the necessary work done. You can also use the Climate Scheduling features to program your car’s heating and cooling elements to fit your weekly schedule

The remote charge and stop charge function gives you the ability to start and stop charging your battery with just a few taps on your device’s screen. Also, if you want to know how your battery’s charge is going, you can access Charging Status Notifications and see how much more it has to go.

Kia Remote Start Features

You can easily control your vehicle from afar with the app’s many remote control features. For instance, you can check out how many miles are on the car with the Remote Mileage Check. If you’re in the parking lot and can’t remember where you put your car, you can use the app to honk its horn and blink the lights.

With remote start and stop, you can control when car your car starts or stops with a quick, easy tap. In the winter, get those seats nice and warm with the heated seat function, and when the temps go up, you can ventilate your seats with a tap in the app, too.

You can also use Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa to control your vehicle right from the comfort of your home. For Google Assistant, you have an UVO Agent at your disposal, and for Alexa, you can use UVO Skill.

What Cars Use the Kia UVO App?

A variety of app features are available to several Kia UVO models including hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and electric models. The app works with Optima, Soul, Sorento, and Seltos models. Such features as remote start can be installed in your vehicle if it does not come with it already.
